Books I'm writing

I’m glad you’re curious to read about my work in progress books. Hmmm, that is why you’re here, right? Well, pull up a chair. To give you an idea of my style and books to expect in the future, I’ll include a few blubs of projects I’m super excited for! Some books I’ve already started pitching to agents and editors. Eep! *crosses fingers*

I’m holding off on mentioning book titles. I wish I could reveal them to you, I do, but I can’t until they’re published. I’m protective of my titles. Believe it or not, it actually isn’t illegal to steal an author’s title. I’ve seen it happen before. It’s best to avoid that predicament.

YA Fantasy novel

Blurb

Estranged siblings, Draven and Ana Hernández, must compete in an ancient challenge in order to become the next protector of their city. They have to use their powers to capture magical creatures and fight off the ailiarants from sabotaging their quest.

Ana is nothing like her older brother, Draven. She only signed up to impress him and her peers, and maybe even herself. Only then they might stop talking about her behind her back. She doesn’t want to attend the challenge like she thought, not when there’s a risk of getting killed. She’d rather lock herself up in her garden with a good book. The challenge calls for each student to use their abilities in order to capture the magical animals created by the ancestors who made the challenge. There’s one problem Ana can’t ignore. She’s fearful of using her powers, and for good reason, too. They tried to kill her once by drowning her at the bottom of a river.

Draven has had it with his little sister. He’s trained tooth and nail for the challenge to win, but his sister is sabotaging everything he worked for. She won’t use her powers. Too afraid, she’s stuck thinking her powers are out to get her. Draven was born to fight as a warrior. All he wants to do is win so he can become the next warrior of his city to protect the people from ailiarants. If only he could have any other partner other than her. Literally anyone would do.
